  1. Sister Bisi Ideraabdullah for creating WOC writer’s workshop a safe place for women of color to come and write. Her workshop save me over 20 years ago and I her encouragement throughout the years has been priceless.

  2. We are Women’s HERSTORY! Thank you for your article. I have new modern-day women to watch!
My Mom is and probably will always be my favorite “one to watch” though! She’s pretty amazing!

  3. That was a beautiful acknowledgement of a sister-tribe who were there when you needed them and offered you a safe place to be a “mess” without judgement. Kudos to all those sisters!

  4. I am super proud of my sister friend Lezell. She lives life on her on terms. She is financially wise and has built the most amazing life for herself. She is socially and emotionally aware of who she is and lives her life unapologetically. I draw strength from her and I am constantly inspired.
